Hydraulic Analysis Surge Protection (Hydrochoc)

1 - Example of an electric power failure of the pumps

An hydropneumatic accumulator is necessary if the pipe is long enough in order to prevent the pipe experiencing low negative pressure (for sanitary and mechanical reasons).

Some fittings, which are not of our supply, can be associated to a hydropneumatic surge vessel such as non- return valve by-pass systems, stand pipes, additional flywheels or remote control valves.

The main result of a hydraulic analysis is a pipe profile indicating minimum and maximum piezometric line, as well as the technical specifications of the material designed.

2 - Example of valve closure and opening

A better sequence of valve closure and opening often allows us to solve the problem without adding any additional components to the installation, But when this is not possible, it is necessary to install one or more safety relief valves or one or more hydropneumatic accumulators (Hydroforts or Hydrochocs).
